Today Tugboat Marketing is eight years old. When I first started Tugboat Marketing as a young professional, there was so much to learn about how social media marketing worked and how best to get results for my clients. Eight years later, I am still learning and growing every day.
Although Tugboat originated all those years ago as a social media management company for local businesses and dealerships, we have taken a winding road to become the agency we are today. First adding advertising services in early 2017, our roster has expanded over the last several years to include website design and development, app design, branding, long-term marketing strategy and more.
But the heart of Tugboat has always been the same. When I first started working in marketing, I was shocked at the lack of information my clients had access to from their previous marketing companies. Countless times now I have had clients come to me after being burned by a marketing company that: didn’t tell them how much of their total spend was advertising budget, didn’t give the client access to website analytics, didn’t report results to the client on a regular basis, and so much more.
Transparency and ethics in marketing are too often overlooked. Between the marketer and the company, between the company and the consumer, honest and open communication of all the facts are what build trust and a good reputation. At Tugboat, this has always been the cornerstone of any client relationship.
I am honored to have worked with several Tugboat clients for the majority of Tugboat’s time in business, and we wouldn’t have gotten where we are today without them. We have a system that works: we treat our clients as our own. Your success is our success, and we grow together. Thank you to the wonderful clients who have been with us all this time.
